Small tips for personal decoration
What creates personality in a home?
The smells? The sounds? The atmosphere? Maybe a combination?
Whatever you want to show your personality, it can be done with few means. Your personality is felt in the entire atmosphere of the home, from the moment you step through the door. Therefore, think about what your guests encounter when they visit you. A scent says so much; does it smell fresh and light, can you sense what food is being cooked, or does it smell stuffy? First impressions mean an incredible amount.
A simple thing to do every morning to start the day fresh and to give your home the best possible conditions is to air it out. Open doors and windows for 10 minutes and let a new day and fresh air enter your home.
When the air and scent in your home are clean and inviting, you can consider what you want to reflect your personality.
Is there always music playing in your home? Do you have beautiful family photos hanging around the house? Do you love reading books that are on a shelf?
Whatever reflects you and your family , it can be displayed easily and welcomingly in the interior design, and through the atmosphere you want to create. I like the idea of family photos, but for me they don't have to be on an entire wall or in the whole house. If there are too many photos, they "fall" a little on top of each other. On the other hand, I think that a beautiful console table built up with a plant, some art and a few books with a single frame on top is incredibly nice. That way, the one photo also gets the right focus on the console table.
