Christmas trends 2025

Christmas 2025 is not just about classic red and green – there are more nuances, textures and details that come to the fore and create a warmer expression. There are quite a few trends, everything from sustainability to pastel colors. However, I like more the trends that can go on to become classics. Find here 3 trends that I like:

1. Brown shades are among the main colors in this year's Christmas decorations. The warm brown colors go well with warm metals such as brass, copper and old gold - and give a feeling of luxury, peace and coziness.
In addition, we see a general trend towards nature-inspired and earthy colors such as olive green, chocolate brown and champagne – which together create a luxurious atmosphere.

2. Bows are a trend again this year – especially in velvet or satin. And this time they can be sumptuous. They give movement, elegance and a certain sense of celebration. The combination of long bows and warm materials enhances the soft and embracing expression.

A tip: use bows in brown or champagne tones as decorations on the Christmas tree, on garlands, around gifts – and let the ends hang long for extra drama.

3. Artificial fir has had a renaissance. Not as plastic greenery, but as hyper-realistic, full branches and trees that can be used year after year. The sustainable aspect comes into play – you invest once in a beautiful, lifelike tree and can vary the expression with colors and decorations year after year.
Artificial fir is often combined with real elements such as individual branches or moss, for a “living” look.

This year's Christmas decorations are not about abundance, but about atmosphere. Layers upon layers of warm colors, soft materials and natural elements that create balance and tranquility.
Light plays a central role – use warm light sources, dim lighting and lots of candles to emphasize the cozy universe.
